SUNFLOWERS

Sale price$2,000.00

Sunflowers is a vertical sculptural panel anchored in early agricultural memory.

The work draws from formative exposure to farm life, where sunflower fields formed part of the domestic landscape. Their scale, repetition and orientation toward light shaped an early understanding of land, rhythm and continuity across generations.

Within The Harvest, Sunflowers operates as origin point. It situates the exhibition within lived agricultural experience, acknowledging that systems of labour and yield emerge from belonging to place.

The upright form mirrors the crop’s directional growth. Structural repetition replaces nostalgia, translating memory into ordered composition. The work positions remembrance not as sentiment, but as foundation.

Sunflowers are also regenerative plants. Their deep taproots aerate compacted soil and draw nutrients upward, restoring ground for the next cycle. In this way, remembrance becomes structural. Memory nourishes what follows.
