SKIN TO STEEL

The debut solo exhibition of Brea Lanyon — introducing VANTA.

November 8–22, 2025 | West End Art Space, Melbourne

SKIN TO STEEL

PAST. PRESENT. FUTURE.

From skin to steel. From memory to structure. From tradition to innovation.

This is not just an exhibition — it is the embodiment of a legacy.

Skin to Steel marks the official unveiling of VANTA: the culmination of over a decade of artistic evolution. Featuring more than 100 original works, the exhibition showcases fine art, sculptural metalworks, functional design pieces, and technology-led installations that together form the spine of the VANTA world.

This is a show grounded in transformation — a practice born in tattooing and reborn in steel, now shaped into objects of permanence, precision, and presence.

THE COLLECTION

The works span three curated galleries — Origins, Present, and Future — and encompass a diverse range of form and function.

From the large-scale laser-cut legacy panels that define the VANTA aesthetic, to the Signature Dining Range debuting in a fully staged Bravo Dining Experience, every object is engineered with architectural clarity and artistic depth. Sculptural garden pieces and outdoor panels stand alongside jewellery, pet furniture, and collectible art objects, forming a material ecosystem that brings VANTA into every space of living — inside and out.

Every cut is intentional. Every piece carries story. Together, they form a living archive of identity, ritual, and structure.

SKIN TO STEEL

THE EXPERIENCE

The exhibition is designed as an immersive journey through space, light, and presence.

Gallery 1 preserves the artist’s origins — illustrations, tattoo flash, and the first steel transformations. It traces Brea Lanyon’s evolution from body to object, from ritual to structure.

Gallery 2 moves into sculptural function, unveiling VANTA’s expanding product ranges — including dining ware, gardenware, homewares, and luxury pet furniture. At its centre sits The Bravo Table, a fully staged fine dining installation where precision and presence meet ritual and design.

Gallery 3 reveals what comes next — illuminated sculptures, advanced material studies, and the public unveiling of AITELIA.

AITELIA is VANTA’s internal operating system — the cognitive and creative framework that underpins every decision, design, and detail. Trained on Brea Lanyon’s own language, symbolism, and aesthetic philosophy, AITELIA is both archive and oracle. It powers the sculptural logic of the exhibition and will guide visitors through its deeper layers via future interactive platforms.

Within this gallery, the Forged Femmes — towering steel archetypes — embody the seven pillars of AITELIA: Faith, Knowledge, Creativity, Love, Courage, Unity, and Freedom. Each figure stands as both structure and story — a blueprint for how VANTA creates, thinks, and evolves.

This is not just art on walls.

This is a system of authorship, a philosophy of form, and a living exhibition of legacy in motion.

This is AITELIA.

This is how VANTA thinks.

THE INVITATION

Skin to Steel is more than a retrospective — it is the public debut of a brand with global intent. It bridges the intimate with the architectural, the ritual with the structural, the past with the future.

Launching at West End Art Space, the exhibition will open with a VIP Vernissage, accompanied by live harp performance, a formal unveiling of the Skin to Steel book, and curated atmospheres that reflect the philosophy of each gallery. Special guests include collectors, architects, designers, builders, and cultural leaders.

All RSVPs are automatically entered into the draw to win a signed copy of the book, VANTA sculptural bookends, and the Monarch Candelabra — key pieces from the collection.

This is the beginning of something permanent.

This is VANTA.

This is Skin to Steel.
